LR-x® Technology Issued US Patent

Billings, MT – Diamond B Technology Solutions, LLC (DBTS), announced on Tuesday March 6, 2018 that the United States Patent and Trademark Office has issued US Patent 9,911,303, entitled “System to Evaluate Airborne Hazards” to the U.S. Army Research Laboratory which is licensed exclusively to Diamond B Technology Solutions, LLC. The patent covers a system to rapidly assess and predict the spread of airborne hazards. LR-x® Technology utilizes at least one, and preferably numerous sensor modules distributed through an area of interest. The modules sense a plurality of weather conditions including barometric pressure, temperature, humidity, wind speed, and wind direction. The system provides a real time output signal of the atmospheric conditions in the form of a 3D Wind Field model as well as the projected path of a hazardous plume.

The LR-x® Technology 3D Wind Field Toxic Plume mapping system is cloud-based and is compatible with iOS and Android mobile devices. The system utilizes both public and private weather sensors, can be deployed instantaneously (no set up required during an incident), and identifies acute exposure guideline levels. LR-x® Technology is designed with First Responder safety in mind and allows users to run models in under 5 minutes prior to arriving on scene. Diamond B Technology Solutions, LLC is seeking global partners to rapidly evaluate, predict, and display the spread of airborne hazards in emergency situations and applications requiring a near real-time wind field display.

“It’s great to see Diamond B getting the Army’s technology into the hands of first responders where it can help save lives”, said Dan Swanson, the senior technology manager at TechLink who assisted the company in licensing the technology from the military.
